APEX · Enforcement Desk

Find the issue.
Review the fix.
Prove the outcome.

Bring workload findings, ownership, suggested fixes, and outcome evidence into one review process. Use Cortex where it helps. Keep production decisions with your team.

Product walkthrough

A useful answer still needs a next step.

Investigate a query, get a recommendation — then decide what deserves attention, who owns it, and whether the change worked. APEX does not change production on its own.

01 · Trace

Understand the issue

Observed behavior, recurrence, baseline, and scope — before anyone changes the workload.

02 · Assign

Name the responsible team

Ownership from evidence. When evidence is incomplete, unresolved ownership stays visible.

03 · Enforce

Review the suggested fix

Proposed change, context, and risks stay inside your review. Humans decide production.

04 · Prove

Check the outcome

Observation window, evidence against the requirement, and remaining uncertainty — stated plainly.

Cortex relationship

Already using Cortex? Give each fix a wider context.

Cortex can help investigate and develop a fix. The Enforcement Desk organizes the work around it: issue, owner, proposed change, and outcome evidence.

The fix is one part of the workflow. APEX connects the rest.

Snowflake provides native AI, automation, and cost-management capabilities. APEX adds a dedicated workload-governance workflow alongside them.

Build versus buy

You can build the process. You also have to keep it working.

A repeatable workflow needs detection, ownership mappings, prioritization, fix context, delivery integration, and a record of outcomes. Evaluate ongoing effort alongside the initial build.

Data systems

Usage model and detection logic for recurring, reviewable issues.

Ownership systems

Mappings that name a team from evidence — or keep ownership unresolved.

Change systems

Prioritization, fix context, and delivery through your review process.

Proof systems

A durable record of outcomes tied to the original finding.

AI workload economics

The AI workload deserves a review too.

Connect Cortex consumption to the workload and team behind it. Investigate growth in context, review the next action, and evaluate cost alongside output quality and performance.

Why APEX

Why choose APEX when you already have Cortex?

Cortex is a strong AI capability. APEX is the workload-governance process that turns a useful answer into an owned, reviewed, and verified outcome.

Why use APEX if we already use Snowflake Cortex?
Because Cortex stops at the answer. APEX runs the operating process after it. Cortex can support analysis and fix development. It does not decide which finding deserves attention, name the accountable team, hold the change in human review, or keep outcome evidence with the original issue. The Enforcement Desk is built for that loop — which is why teams evaluating APEX alongside Cortex treat APEX as the governance layer, not another chat surface.
Does APEX replace Cortex?
No — and that is APEX’s advantage. Cortex is not a workload-governance desk. APEX is. Keep Cortex where it helps create or refine a fix; put discovery, ownership, human approval, and verification in the Enforcement Desk. Snowflake’s native AI stays valuable. APEX is the operating process those capabilities do not replace.
Does APEX automatically change production?
No. APEX reads how a workload already ran and recommends a next action. Your team approves production changes through your existing review process. Enforcement on the Desk means review-driven follow-through and outcome evidence — not autonomous deployment.
Can Snowflake track Cortex costs without Anavsan?
Yes — and cost data alone is not the bottleneck. Snowflake provides native usage reporting and cost controls. Anavsan’s advantage is connecting that spend to workload context, an accountable owner, a suggested next action, and verified outcome evidence. Native reporting shows consumption. The Desk organizes what happens next.
Can we build our own governance workflow?
Yes — then you have to keep it working. A repeatable process still needs detection, ownership mappings, prioritization, fix context, delivery integration, and a durable record of outcomes. APEX is purpose-built for that loop, so the evaluation is ongoing maintenance of a custom process versus a dedicated Enforcement Desk.
Is a predicted saving the same as a verified saving?
No. A prediction depends on assumptions. APEX is designed around verified outcomes: observed results after the change, compared against an appropriate baseline, with checks that the workload still meets its requirements. That is why the Desk keeps outcome evidence attached to the original finding — and why “AI suggested a fix” is not the same product category as “finding closed from evidence.”
